Supreme Court defers hearing on farmer chief Jagjit Dallewal’s hospital shift to January 2, Punjab says negotiations on

On Monday, Jagjit Singh Dallewal released a brief video message urging the Centre to cope with the farmers’ demands. He also expressed gratitude to the Punjabis for their aid in making the Punjab bandh, organized by farmers’ boards, a fulfillment.
Kaka Singh Kotra, a frontrunner of the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (Non-political), stated that Dallewal was willing to sacrifice his existence for the farmers’ purpose. The Supreme Court had given the Punjab government till December 31 to convince Dallewal to visit the health center.
“All that we wish to mention, as of now, is that we aren’t satisfied with the efforts to date made with the aid of the Government of Punjab towards compliance of our orders, especially the order dated December 20,” the bench remarked.
The courtroom, however, took the word of the guarantee given with the aid of the proposed general, the leader secretary, and the director of police of the state government, granting the nation extra time to take suitable steps.
