BJP Accuses Rahul Gandhi of Insensitivity Amid Nation’s Mourning for Manmohan Singh
New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has criticized Congress chief Rahul Gandhi for allegedly flying to Vietnam to have a good time during the New Year, days after former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh’s death. The BJP accused Gandhi of showing “contempt” for Singh’s legacy and classified him as a “chief of partisan” (tourism).
BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla condemned Gandhi’s movements, claiming they reflected a pattern of brushing aside Dr Singh for his lifetime or even after his passing. “While the country is mourning Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s dying, Rahul Gandhi has flown overseas to bring inside the New Year. Congress would not care for Dr Manmohan Singh.

He politicized Singh’s loss of life but has proven his contempt by leaving the USA.
