Delhi records season coldest morning: temperature could drop to 4°C | Weather updates

The cold wave has been widely extending in the northern states of India, among them the national capital, Delhi, with a high of 4.4 degrees Celsius, which is the coolest temperature of the season in this district. Besides the national capital, several other states in north India, including Rajasthan, Punjab, and Haryana, are experiencing cold waves. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted that the minimum temperature in that city will be 4 degrees Celsius on Thursday. It was necessary to note that Delhi had 4.9 degrees Celsius on Wednesday. Not only this, but the wave of cold has also extended to other states like Rajasthan and Punjab Haryana, among others. On Wednesday, Jammu and Kashmir received fresh snowfall.

The regional meteorological center, Delhi, predicted that on Thursday, there would be a ‘mainly clear sky along with some places receiving cold wave conditions only.’ Only some parts of the city will experience fog/mist in the early morning, according to the Regional Meteorological Center of Delhi. Fog/mist will also be seen in the evening/night. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 23 and 04 degrees Celsius, respectively. The minimum temperatures in early December had not dropped below 5 degrees Celsius in the last fourteen years, as per information provided by the news agency PTI via the weather agency. According to the weather agency, for December 12, the mainly clear sky will prevail with cold wave conditions. As per the IMD weather outlook for the northern part of India, the minimum temperatures in the northwest and central regions of India will remain more or less the same day to day except for a few slight variations over the next four to five days. West India’s conditions show a slow growth of 2-3°C in minimum temperatures, according to the IMD report.
In some areas of Rajasthan, the IMD forecast anticipated a lasting cold wave situation till December 16. The cold wave situation in parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh till December 16; Mr Saurashtra and Kutch, Delhi on December 13; and in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Muzaffarabad on December 13 to 16 are the areas experiencing predicted cold wave conditions.
