Mumbai accident: The latest tragic news, the last death update in this horrifying event of the Kurla BEST bus crash, is now confirmed to be seven, with a total of forty-two people who have suffered injuries. In Tuesday’s announcement, BEST Mumbai accident fatality count details have been provided, where it was mentioned that people lost lives as a result of the bus operated by BEST Mumbai, running on BMC-operated routes D-1 Andheri (N) and P3 Andheri (S), crossing pedestrian signals and running into people and crossing vehicles on the western side of the Kurla area of SG Barve Marg.
Witnesses claimed that the driver lost control of the bus, and it turned out to be catastrophic when a number of vehicles inside the gated condominium Solomon buildings were crushed into it. This vicious accident occurred over 100 meters, with the bus crossing at a reasonably high speed, damaging close to 30-40 vehicles before it smashed into the main gate. There were eight other injuries during this entire sequence of unfortunate events.
An unusual event occurred throughout this asinine ordeal, and the bus speed increased. Five hours after this horrible sequence of events started, BEST announced and commented, saying that “due to misreporting, it was expected that the bus driver around this point had lost control of it.” They further mentioned that while the bus was in motion, the driver, Sanjay More, was in an abandoned state and could not explain his fingers having complete control of the steering wheel.
According to their statements made on Monday, three individuals transported to Bhabha Hospital died. On Tuesday, a civic official said there had been an increase in the number of people who had died to six.
According to officials, the BEST bus driver attempted to swerve towards a wide footpath but hit some pedestrians and vehicles before losing control of the bus.
According to them, the bus owned by BEST ran through pedestrians and vehicles before crashing into Buddha Colony, a housing society, and coming to a standstill. An official earlier stated that BEST had leased out a 12-meter-long electric bus fabricated by a company in Hyderabad called Olectra Greentech.
One of the transport bodies informed us that remaining free from Kurla station has reduced the BEST from plying the buses to 10 free routes from other areas. To ensure minimal traffic disruption, the Mumbai Police has cut off road access to SG Barve Marg, which leads to Kurla station. Barve Road is a vital route for many commuters headed to Kurla station.
Many people prefer taking the Best buses from Barve Road to the Bandra-Kurla complex to bypass Barve and Kurla Road.
It was done quickly, and those hurt were taken to the nearest hospitals. The relevant departments are considering the incident to determine the circumstances of the accident.
